A Construction Outlook for 2018

A letter from the President

With the new year upon us, most of us are now pondering what 2018 will bring for the U.S. construction market. After enjoying several years of continuous expansion and lower interest rates, analysts and investors alike are starting to wonder when the music will stop. However, according to the latest forecasts and projects, while growth may be expected to slow a bit compared to previous aggressive years we’ve had, 2018 is expected to see another year of growth.

Yet among this growth, not all projects will be created equal. For example, multifamily housing and hotel projects have leveled off. The institutional segment of nonresidential buildings has been quite strong, in particular schools and healthcare facilities. Both industries have also been strong adopters of prefabricated and modular construction.

The team at Nadler Modular Structures has seen increased demand in a variety projects, including government and public sector, schools, construction projects, and probably most importantly, helping our local communities recover from the variety of natural disasters and hurricanes that impacted Florida, Texas, and other parts of our country. It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of the rebuild process.

On behalf of all of us at Nadler, I would like to wish our customers and partners a safe and joyful happy new year.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Neeman
